"Here, only the wind rustles through the pine trees. A cypress stands still like a sentinel. And somewhere, in the shade of the garden, a lemon hangs from its tree — unhurried, unheard. That is Casa Dulce Ocio."

Surroundings

Casa Dulce Ocio sits in urbanización Montemar, at the foot of the Sierra de Bèrnia and just below Benissa's historic old town. Limestone coves, hiking and cycling routes, golf courses and cosy terraces are all close by.

  • Jalón (Xaló) — Saturday, 9:00–14:30. The best-known antiques and flea market on the Costa Blanca — over 2 km of stalls along the river: antiques, old books, records, vintage finds. Go early, traders start packing up around 13:30.
  • Altea — Tuesday, 8:00–14:00, near Cami de l'Algar/Avenida de la Nucía. A mix of fresh produce, crafts and curiosities; a smaller antiques rastro sometimes pops up on Saturday mornings. Easy to combine with a stroll through Altea's whitewashed old town.
  • La Nucía — Sunday, 9:00–14:00. One of the region's largest flea markets: antiques, tools, vintage clothing and collectibles.
  • Teulada — Sunday, 8:00–14:00. A lively, typically Spanish rastro in the car park by the football stadium.
  • Benidorm — El Cisne — Saturday & Sunday, 8:00–14:00. A smaller, atmospheric antiques market, often with live music at the surrounding terraces.
